What time of day is best for fishing bass? I usually fish Sunday afternoons 2 to 5 pm as during the week its impossible to fish .

I have caught small bass and few channel cats which suprised me that nothing big . Lakes I go to have good water( I have large fishtank with water test kits have tested the lakes water) yet the seem barren other than small fish .

    Thanks

Early morning or evening is usually best, but you can get them to bite anytime.

    Where are you fishing?

I fish a huge lake not sure of exact name or if it even has one its part of Doral lakes in Miami

I got tired of the wall to wall weeds . This particular lake spot is smooth like a beach no weeds and nice sand but imagine limited fish hide areas.

I got tired of constantly caught in weeds and water hycathin in other part of the lake .

I have caught bass both types but small and few small channel cats .
Going to try going for talapia next week as heard few caught there

I have had the best luck in the early morning.I primarily fish some ponds close to my office and that is the only chance I have to go.

Best time for me to catch bass is early mornings, and later in the afternoon. Usually about an hour before sundown. I also have had good luck with a south or west wind and best time before a storm.

If you have never gone muskie fishing, you should. If you have gone muskie fishing....you know.

Thanks do you find that moon night before or level of water in lake has anything to do with it?

I went last sunday and it was the mother load . The lakes water level was low and moon was out night before .

I caught more fish in 2 hours than ever (ofcourse catch/release) . Time was 2 hours before sundown like you suggested (well you said one I added another lol)
