We have acouple of buddyu tournaments every season ,but no opens at this point. Not really sure why that is.Maybe the economy right now. I know its hampered the turn out for our reg, tourneys. Now only 18-21 boats.
Im planning on making some suggestions on doing open tournaments in the future but I dont have alot of pull right now.We are not federation affil either. I think part of the problem is thAt we have to obtain permits for every tournament we fish by the FWC . Therefore our season starts in the middle of the year unlike many clubs Ive fished in Tx, that start Jan-Feb. We kind of get an idea of what other clubs are doing or scheduling,but every once in awhile we end up with 100 bots on the lake ,like our classic recently held on Istokpogo when ther was a federation quilifing tourney. Can you just see 40 boats fishing the same patch of hydrilla, its insane!!!!!!!!
