Good Morning y’all and Happy New Year! Bite has been pretty steady lately. Took a couple clients out this week and have had productive days. Trout bite has been strong, catching fish in numbers 15+ sometimes over 30. A lot of good size trout in the mix over 20”. Been utilizing tides, finding moving water and bait. Throwing mostly bass assasins and cal jigs, but slowing down with a bait buster or shrimp has been needed. Some great fish on top waters but this time of year I focus with cal jigs and bass assasins. For me when targeting trout unless I’m after gators it’s more about fishing the tides then getting out early. Find moving water and bait and you’ll find the fish!
