For the last three months I’ve been intermittent fasting from 8pm to noon the following day. When I feel hungry, I drink water at ambient temperature. Ha! Ambient temperature is room temperature. Don’t go thinking you’re a climate scientist now, just because you learned a new word and watch MSNBC.

Today I plan to fry up some bacon and eggs, after the cleaners get out of the kitchen. So, my first meal will be delayed a little. That’s fine, I’ll drink more water.

Speaking of the cleaners, one of them is a 30yo local, quite attractive, very well built, and just gorgeous. Dang…

They are still in the kitchen. So I’m eating beef jerky for lunch.

Just received an invite from the boss. Heading to his house for burgers this afternoon. Should be good. So I’ll stop eating beef jerky now and save my appetite for the burgers and appetizers.

He is a home brewer. And let me tell you he makes some good beers. He is very knowledgeable, thorough, and patient with his beer making.

It’s a passion really. Second only to his passion for smoking the perfect brisket, which he does…

Thinking about all this food is making me hungry. Coffee didn’t help curb the hunger.

A DQ Oreo blizzard would be really good right now, but not allowed. Too many empty calories and is very unhealthy.

That was very disappointing. No burgers, curried and smoked goat…sorry, not my thing.

Went to be hungry, woke up hungry, but sticking with my intermittent fasting ritual. Just having coffee and water before noon.

Then later this afternoon cook up meals for the work week ahead. Maybe grill some chicken breasts or hamburger patties

I’m not too particular with food. Although when I have my mind set on something like I did last night, I’m not happy when the plan changes. But I adapt.

I used to view food as a means to socialize and as a result got fat. Sometimes I was over 250lbs. But in the past few years, I see food as fuel for the body, although I will admit at certain times I overeat to compensate for stress. So, like a lot of people, it’s a daily battle to keep eating under control. I’m a svelte 210 right now. I could drop weight to 200-205 and that would be great.

Some of the guys fried up bacon, man it smells good. I’m hungry, but can’t eat for another 3.5 hours. Gonna be tough.

Tonight I grilled up four 1/2# beef hamburger Pattie’s for lunch tomorrow through Wednesday. I keep it simple here. I add a couple of big cooking spoonfuls of steamed frozen veggies to each meal, so I get the fiber and whatever nutrients are there. It’s edible.

I think for dinner tomorrow, I’ll grill a thin ribeye steak, can’t be more than 6 ounces.

BTW, I bring in my meat from the US. Frozen and packed in a soft side Yeti, packed in a checkin bag. No issues.

Typically, I bring in ground beef, turkey, seasoned chicken and beef fajita meat, chicken breasts, sausages, and steaks. I like to treat myself to a ribeye every week.
