Market was down again this week. Compare the numbers to start of the year (YTD) and the June 16’ish low for the S&P 500 index.

There are ALOT of bargains to be had out there.

Everything, with few exceptions, may be bought at a great discount from January rates.

Personally, I don’t care about a recession or not, I see discounted prices from the best companies in the world, so I’m buying every week.

And it doesn’t matter how much money you have to buy, just buy something.

Don’t know what to buy? Just look at the Top 10 Holdings of the S&P 500 index and buy some of those or buy shares of the S&P 500 index itself. Cannot go wrong.

But I can think for myself, as you should.

And remember, educate yourself on these companies. Read. Did you know that besides being a great online store front, that Amazon is a HUGE cloud enterprise? Multi-faceted company. Worth a looksie.

I guess the bottom line is that you should read about those top 10 companies. Read. Educate yourself. Make money. It’s almost too easy if you pay a little attention.

Again, I’m no financial advisor, but you need to have a core investment principal. For those less savvy, investing in a Total Stock Market Index ETF or a S&P 500 Index ETF are about all you need.

Then, you can pick and choose other investment ideas to supplement your core position.

Personally, I think Health Care, Technology, and Mega Cap growth are the best ways to go long term. So my portfolio is supplemented with investments in those areas. But that is me.

For instance, look at the semiconductor index, it is down 35% this year. I’m buying. Do you think chips are done? Nope, on the contrary. They may be down, but not out. And, where do you think the next generation of chips will come from? Yup, the chip companies themselves. Bingo! But that is me…do what you want. I don’t care.

Same with cloud services…I’m buying

Look at Apple…that stock is down, and they have good vision for increasing revenue, profits and innovate. BTW, they are the largest company in the indexes by market capitalization. Consider buying some shares.

Interesting day in the market. All major indices down by a lot.

I don’t have a clue where the market is going, but when I see 4%+ discounts on the price of quality companies, I buy some. Like I did today.

Just nibbling with some cash. Not spending all of it, just a little. Reloading in case tomorrow is another down day. Might just buy some more.
