Hope everyone had a fun and safe Labor Day weekend. Labor Day signifies the end of summer for many. The benefits of living in south Florida, fun in the sun continues for us.

Saltwater side the snook are still gathering in the inlets and along the beaches. I have seen plenty of bigger snook on the move coming inside the ICW as well. Targeting seawalls and docks have been the key to success for the snook. Live bait and DOA C.A.L. 3” shad tail bait of choice.

Tarpon fishing has been great near inlets and mangrove lined channels. Free lining live bait with the tide will get the bite. Doa Terror Eyz also a great bait to entice the silver king to strike. The bite for the Tarpon has been best on the first of the incoming and last of the outgoing tides. The Tarpon have been ranging in size from 10 to 50 pounds

Freshwater side the peacock bass bite has been fantastic due to the warmer water temps. The peacock bass are gathering near bridges, seawalls and docks, many of these fish can be sight fished. Live bait or Doa 3” shrimp or small Rapala x raps will get the strike.

Well that is a fishing report for the past week, hope you all enjoyed. Remember you can’t catch them from the couch. So get out there and get hooked up. Tight Lines!
