Hey everyone in Florida, I'm on the Texas Fishing Forum alot ( Don't worry JP has both. LOL)

I do a write up called "A Day On The Water" where I take anglers to new waters, Yes kinda like Day On The Lake with B.A.S.S.

Just thought I would show you guy and gals and if you wanted to see more I can post all ove them on here.

It will give you some insight on Texas Lakes.

Bill is the host of " Honey Hole Out doors TV show"

Well I met Bill at 5:30 this morning at Fun N Sun's Cleburne location.

I hopped in the NICE FULLY WRAPPED truck pulling a SWEET RANGER.

Bill walked up to me and we started talking like we grew up together. You hear stories all the time of how guys are, and it holds true with Bill. A class act and a unbelievable guy.

I'm not knocking anyone I have ever fished with, and I have fished with some great anglers in there own right. Bill has got to be the most knowledgeable and JUST PURE stick I have ever fished with. To be honest he's a freak when it comes to fishing. It's almost Rick Clunn like, there were a few times it seemed he knew what the bass where thinking. At one point he stopped in mid cast motion put his rod down got another bait and caught a bass almost 3 pounds. " I just felt it he said".
If you ever get a chance to meet or fish with BILL WILCOX....DO IT. You will learn a lot about bass fishing there nature, and what and when they relate to cover.

BILL Thanks for the experience, and opportunity learn from you. Your a FISHERMAN, but a even GREATER PERSON.

We arrive at Pat Cleburne lake, Bill takes the time to get all the rods he will need out and prepare baits. Dipping tails and assorting rods on his front deck by what he thinks he will need first.

We get in the water and some one, not the young one in the boat forgot there glasses, so after seeing a semi old man RUN to his truck and reenter his boat we started fishing.

    6:00
Bill makes his first cast with a White Buzz Bait along rocks beside boat ramp, after 10-15 short strikes he picks up his Yellow magic and starts casting. Telling be a bait like this you can make the short strikers take it on in.

    6:11
Bill has landed his first bass a nice 1.8 lber on the yellow magic off of rocks.

    (FISH WAS LATER CULLED)

We can see fish boiling all over the place and Bill states this is going to be a fun day.

    [color:#FF0000]6:27
Bill has already landed four other bass(1.1/1.9/1.4/2.2) on the yellow magic along the rocks over grass and would all be CULLED LATER
He makes a cast that lands in a cut of grass about a inch wide some thick grass and GULP, followed by a sweeping hook set and steady retrieve, he lands a fish that will go towards his sack a 2.10 pound beauty[/color].

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=659y1-iXkhE

Sack So Far 1 Fish 2.10 lbs

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDlvu0jmzQs

For the next 54 minutes Bill fishes the Rocks and Grass around the boat Ramp catch 8 bass (1.4/1.1/2.4/small/small/small/1.8/1.14) all on Yellow Magic and ALL FISH WERE CULLED

Bill tells me how areas around boat ramps should always be fished first since thats where all the bass are released on tournaments out here.

    7:21
After Making fun of Mark Perry, and tell me a joke.( Bill " what do you do Casey, I told him. He tells me " People ask me all the time since I fish all the time what do I do on VACATIONS, he looks at me I tell him I don't know. He replies " I roof my house or Lay new bricks. while laughing.)

    7:22
He makes a cast to shallow grass and as soon as it hits the water a major splash, he sets the hook and fights the fish in it's a 3 lb even bass. Thats what I'm talking about he says as he smiles and quickly starts back casting.
That fish was on a Yellow Magic casted deep into a grass bed.

Sack So Far 2 Fish 5.10 LBS

    [Linked Image]

    7:37
After releasing 2 more fish (1.0/small) he sticks another nice bass on the yellow magic....WAIT another 3.0 even???? Yep another 3 on the button, he said theres tournaments where people would love a 3 even. I laugh and tell him he's already working on the LIMIT TOTAL RECORD.

Sack So Far 3 Fish For 8.10 pounds

    8:10
Bill Catches another nice bass a 2.8 lb fish that will be his 4th keeper fish..Before this bill had caught 4 small bass all about a pound.

Sack So Far 4 Fish For 11.2 lbs

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ePULQVtQV5A

He's focusing on grass that is semi isolated away from other grass and as many structures in the water in one location as possible. Bass like change and the more change in one area you can give them they love and it will hold bigger fish.

    [Linked Image]

Bill can't stand all the sand bass behind him so here goes. LOL

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DI_IKKw4dO0

Bill continues to catch fish ( 7 to be exact all between 1.1 and 1.14 lbs) He decides to move to the Dam where there will be deeper water and the BIG KICKER he's looking for.

    9:07
We arrive at the DAM and he drops trolling motor and look at MR. SHOW OFF. LOL
    WATCH TILL THE END

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvCny8px2TE

For the next hour Bill picks apart the DAM with these lures, White 5-6 diving Crank Bait/Shaky Head Zoom Green Pumpkin FIN worm/Yellow Magic. Those lures produced 5 more fish that wouldn't upgrade his limit. He was working depth from 2 to 16 feet of water.

    [Linked Image]

    10:15
He finally picks up a C-RIG and sticks a fish about the third cast, small but a C-Rig fish he says. He's using a Chart/Stud Fry.

For the next 40 minutes Bill moves North and keeps fishing shallow grass on the West bank of the Lake, with no luck here he decides to move back to the East side of the lake where the grass is a little deeper.

    10:55
Bill pulls up to some shallow grass and goes to throw his Creature bait when he stops, goes through his locker box. He digs out a Zoom Fluke Shad color. His first cast to a isolated grass patch produces a 2.8 pound bass. It will not help out his sack, he will later find out.

    [Linked Image]

The next 50 minutes produce 2 more 1 lb + fish, on baby brush hogs, and Kriets Creature baits.

    11:45
After going back to weightless Zoom Fluke, Bill sticks a 2.10 lb bass, with a fat belly. This will round out his LIMIT.

Sack So Far 5 Fish For 13.10 lbs ( A Ticket Friendly Score )

From 11:46 to 1:20 Bill keeps picking apart shallow grass, and carolina rigging main lake points in 10 feet water, throwing ( baby brush hogs/Yellow magic/Creature baits/Fin Worms on Shaky head/Flukes/Stud Fry) he caught 12 more fish the smallest was 1.5 pounds and maxing out at 2.5 pounds.

    1:25
He has now moved back to the dam and start throwing a DD14 trying to catch that one big SAL.

He catches one more fish, a dink ( one of very few dinks today)

He finishes up Carolina Rigging a point next to Boat Ramp

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUPOYz7pUTc
    [Linked Image]

    Bill set 4 records today

    1. Fastest Limit.....27 minutes
    2. Heaviest Stringer.....(13.10 lbs)
    3. Most Perch.... 7 :rolfmao:
    4. Most Sand Bass... 1 :rolfmao:

Total Number of FISH........47 ( there were only about 12 dinks the rest were all over a pound)

Sorry about the videos and pics, my camera was on some crasy setting when I got home, I had some great videos of Bill not even turn out worth putting on here, I hate that, but there was nothing I could do.

    Thanks for everything

    Casey Allison
