Mosquito Lagoon, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Mosquito Lagoon is famous for it's redfish. Period. And on the past 3 charters will explain why.

The first trip, I had 2 long time clients wanting to try a few shots with the fly. Not wanting to participate in our offerings, we swithed over to jigs and live shrimp. First trip was a 22 redfish day in 4 hours.

The very next day got a little better. Cindy from Orange City FL. joined me with her brother and we headed out at 6:30 am for a 5 hour charter. Long story short.......we landed 37 reds, not to mention over 20 trout!

Today's trip made those two look pathetic. Keeping a count at times like these gives me a chance to write reports in several magazines and newspapers. My clients got on the boat for a 5 hour trip and we fished 2 spots. 67 redfish later and wore out wrists, we called it a day!! Yes, that was "67" reds in 5 hours. (One had 22 spots) I noticed as we were on our trip this morning my client had a bannana on board for a snack. Does this tell that myth something??

Yup, close to 150 redfish boated in 3 days! That's why we ARE famous.

Next week I'm taking the outdoor writer for the newspaper to do some filmin' and write a full article. I don't expect our fishing to get any worse, just better.
