Hello all i'm not sure if I should have posted this in another section. I've been checking out your site while freezing up here in northern Illinois. I mostly wade the Fox river targeting smallies and catch just about everything in the process i.e. walleyes, large mouth, crappies (specs), white bass, northern and musky etc..

I'm heading down in about a month for my yearly trip to FLA. I was hoping someone might give me some advice. I mainly target bass on inland lakes while I'm down but was hoping to do some snook fishing. I saw a show a while back where they were targeting snook in the canals off of the Tami ami trail (sp?). Have any of you guys done this and willing to share some tips. Who knows this maybe out of season for this type of fishing. I also would like to wade some flats for anything really trout, reds, snook etc. I'll be staying in Osprey about an hour or so south of Tampa. I member of a couple sites up here CLF and WCF if you're ever heading up and plan on fishing these are two great sites to get info. Thanks in advance!

    Tight lines,
    Hoffman

I will be in Lakeland for 2 weeks starting March 16th, I am coming from Canada, I don't have a lot of experience in saltwater fishing but am always looking for a fishing partner. I do a lot of the same fishing here in Canada.
Lakeland is about 45 minutes South of Orlando.

    Norm,

I wish I was going to be down longer but I only have a week. At least it breaks up this winter been pretty rough in Chicago but not as bad as Canada. Hey are you a member of men outdoors? I've been lurking around that site but haven't signed up yet. I know a few of the guys from ILL. Good luck when you had down make sure to get some fresh water time in for the monster largemouth.

    Tight lines,
    Hoffman

To bad, it would have been nice to have a fishing partner. I will be bringing my freshwater gear.

NO, I am not a member of men outdoors and have not visited the site. Sounds interesting, I will take a look.
    Good luck fishing.

i'm coming down to nokomis (10 minutes or so from osprey) on march 3rd for a month. I'm from Ohio and have no saltwater experience, except for tv and what I read! lol. if you wanted to get together and give it a whirl i'd be happy to throw some bait with you.
