    The tournament is on for this weekend as planned. The film crew from Kayak Fishing Magazine will be filming the event. There are two launch sites, Philippe Park and Upper Tampa Bay Park on the Double Branch Creek. The creek will keep you out of the weather if it gets nasty. Both locations have great fishing. Sponsor Host is Jack Willies. Get all of the information on http://www.KayakFishingClassicS.com

    The weather presented some very tuff conditions for the Kayak Fishing ClassicS Old Tampa Bay Monster Redfish Classic last weekend. The high temp. for the day was only 35 degrees and that lasted for only a few minutes. As if the cold was not enough, mother nature added some freezing rain to the mix, just to spice it up. Needless to say the fishing was very tough but for those how prevailed, the rewards were great. The generous sponsors of the ClassicS showered the winners with some very impressive awards. First place went to Derick Burges, second place went to James West and third place went to Justin West. Each of them received the following awards;
    Albright Fly Rod & case, Albright conventional 4 piece pack rod & case, A pair of Ocean Waves Sunglasses,1 year subscription online to Kayak Angler Magazine, Kayak Fishing Magazine exposure, a selection of custom wooden baits from High Roller Custom Lures,Boonie Hat or Cap or fishing bandana for Aqua Design, Freedom Hawk Kayaks push pole(1st place only),Tropic Bay hats and visors, moon clock, Tropic Bay sunglass keepers,IHOP gift certificate, Linsey Eyecare Microfiber lens cloth and a warm evening at sponsor host Jack Willies Tiki Bar & Grill.
