We are 3 guys planning a trip to the beautiful fishing place you have at the keys.
Date for the trip is mid january and 14 days forward.
The 2 of us are experienced in fishing. Been to mexico and cape verde and are fishing often here in denmark thou not for the fantastic variaty of fish you have in Florida.

Would really apriciate some advice and help deciding where to fish from and where to stay.
We would like to stay somewhere affordable in the pricerange of 500-900 in total for the week.

As it is for now we plan to rent a car at miami airport and drive to either islamorada or marathon. Most likely Islamorada as it looks like the best place for us to start our fishing trip?
We will stay there for 7 days hire a pro to take us out 2-3 days for tarponfishing, backcountry fishing etc. the last 4-5 days we might rent a boat and try our luck on our own.

So what we would like advice on is :

- Where to stay
- Who to hire for fishing trip
- Where to fish if we rent a boat
- hear from anyone that want to share experience about the fishing in Islamorada and the keys

Are there anyone out there interested in giving us some advice regarding the above or even maybe be interested in going out with us 3 happy and easygoing danes for some fun fishing?
