i went down to the sebastian inlet and i have no boat so i was fishing off the beach and all i caught was a bunch o bites from sand fleas. i was using pig/pin fish, shrimp, and mullet with 2,3, or 4 oz sinkers and im not catching anything. we have two 10ft surf poles, one 11fter, and 1 9fter. on saterday we went at 6am and on sunday we went at 4pm. i just got out of the army and i was stationed in louisianna wicth was all fresh water and that seems to be alot different. what am i doing wrong? does anyone have any suggestions for me before i go out again this weekend if so i would greatly appreciate it. thank you.

Try to talk to other people there. There are lots of shorebound anglers. Lighter tackle may be your best bet.

Also, as the water cools many more species will come into range. Especially for the sand fleas.

If you want to get away for a few days and take a quick drive over to naples, this is my slow season....I'll show you how to surf fish here and you can copy those methods there and it will work.

Drop me a line if you like, I'll be slow until mid October.

    Good Luck
