Hi, I have 19ft Bluewave that we are going to haul down to Destin around the first. Wondering if anyone has any tips for me? Any information would be great. Bait and where to get it, rigs (leaders, weights, hooks, etc), artificials, boat ramps, any fishing spots (I promise I won't steal them as this is probably the only time I'll ever go, lol), things I should have in the boat, and boating regs I need to know, etc. I don't have a gaff, just a big net, is that adequate?

We are going to hit the bay, but I am really wanting to fish nearshore (within sight of land) on the gulf side some, so hopefully the seas are nice. Are they usually this time of year? Think my boat is ok for this?

I have one combo that I would consider "heavy duty" and that is a Penn 209 on a big ugly stik with 80 lb power pro braid. Other than that I just have Abu 55-6500s on normal ugly stiks with 20 lb mono. Think this is adequate?

Also, we don't particularly care what we catch, just want to have a good time and not get skunked. I think the kids would get a real kick out of catching a shark.

If you have any other suggestions, I would definitely appreciate it. Thanks for all the help!!

Oh, also, I plan on doing all catch and release, but if you have a suggestion for a nice restaurant that will cook our catch for us one meal that would be awesome.

Will also have a 5 and 1 year old with us, so if you know of a good spot we could take them in the boat to have a picnic and do some beachcombing that would be cool. Like an island or secluded beach or something (if there are any even out there).

    Thanks again
