Well guys hunting season is here and almost everyone is ready to hit the woods......except me!!! You can not beat fishing all day and seeing one other person on the water. To say you have it to your self would be a understatment. Me and a good friend decided to put our skills to the test and hit the neches river just above the freshwater barrier for some tough post front bass fishing.....we though. They day started as we though, cold boat ride followed by few bites and little fish for the first 3 hours. I decided to see if we could hit some of our honey holes and maybe get one "good" bite. Well that good bite happened with-in the first 3 cast we where there, followed by another, and another,and then a limit! We just killed them and if it wasn't for our "amazingly awsome perfect love to death" wive's we would have stayed longer but we had to go. Most fish were caught on topwater along with some worm fish. The river is rebounding after the storms an will not be long until it becomes a local hot spot.
