Fishing in Jacksonville? Last year in Outdoor Life Jacksonville was featured as the best city to catch bull redfish in the fall. I live on the other side of the St Marys River in GA, n the fishing here just like in Jacksonville, is amazing. Off a dock that is in my neighborhood, i have caught reds, trout, flounder, grouper, black drum, sheepshead, bluefish and tarpon. Being from Virginia Beach you must like striped bass and the St. Marys River has those too. My email is Ruffryder51089@aol.com if u would like to contact me

HI MIKE, WELCOME TO JACKSONVILLE! I AM NEW TO THE WEBSITE BUT ANYWAY, I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT YOU HAVE PICKED A WINNER OF A TOWN WHEN IT COMES TO FISHING. SALT,FRESH, IN-SHORE OR OFF-SHORE IT'S ALL HERE!!!I JUST BOUGHT A NEW FLATS RIG A LITTLE MORE THEN A MONTH AGO AND I LOVE IT IT IS A CAROLINA SKIFF SEA CHASER IN THE FLATS SERIES FS-1600 WITH A 90HP 2-STROKE YAMAHA AND A 82 LB THRUST MOTORGUIDE GREAT WHITE SALTWATER TROLLING MOTOR AND THE BEST THING IS IT IS ALL PAID FOR!!!BUT ANYWAY ENOUGH ABOUT MY BOAT WHAT KIND OF FISHING DO YOU DO? I LIKE TO FISH FOR REDS,TROUT AND FLOUNDER.I CATCH SOME FLOUNDER BUT NOT AS MANY AS I WOULD LIKE TO. ALL I USE IS ARTIFICIAL, BUT SOME GUYS AROUND HERE USE LIVE MUD-MINNOWS OR EVEN BETTER FINGER MULLET BUT I NEVER WAS GOOD AT LIVE BAIT FISHING. SO I STICK TO LURES TOP-WATERS ARE AWSOME ON TROUT AROUND HERE I LIKE THE ZARRA-SPOOK JUNIOR IN WHITE AND SILVER IT IS A GATOR SLAYER FOR ME!!!ANYWAY IF YOU WOULD LIKE MORE INFO MY E-MAIL IS STEVENFREE2003@YAHOO.COM SEE YA ON THE WATER!!!!!!!!

Yes sir just echoing the sentiment of all the other previous posters. You have picked a winner of a town to move too. If you don't mind the traffic on the highways or at your local boat ramp then this is the place to be. Offshore inshore or river fishing we've got it all from cobia to the very small shrimp there is always something to do here. So hope the move goes well and TIGHT LINES

Hi thack, welcome to Jacksonville and Florida. I think you'll like it here as we have all kinds of fishing here as the other posters mentioned.
You can also see what's happening here on my fishing report web page or subscribe to my fishing reports, (it's free) to be able to receive them each month to help you out. You can visit it at http://vic2fish.com
I've fished here all my life and it's amazing. I wish you luck here and wish you tight lines and screaming drags.
