    G'day,

Here we go - OB cranks up first bump, idles fine. Untie fromthe dock and I am off, no waking across the lake, to perform a full load test. Get out of the no wake zone and give it some gas. Boat umps out of the water and goes. Goes for only a few yards before it cuts out. Turn the key, first bump, and the ob starts abck up. Give it gas to go and it dies down.

Here is what I notice: I am losing pressure in my fuel line at the primer bulb. If I turn the ob over and jog around while primering the bulb the ob runs like a top. I stop primering the bulb and she dies.
    - Starting at the fuel cell - bad o-ring in the hose valve? I would ask about the fuel pick-up in the tank, but when primering the bulb I get pressure with only a few pumps.
    - Air leaking into the assembly at the bulb?

    Any help is much apprecaited!!!!

Try replacing the primer bulb. The check valve may be bad. Otherwise look for an air lean in the fuel system. If you have quick disconnects on the fuel line, check the oring. Ethanol eats them up and you can get air in the system there.

I had this problem on my old boat and the linkage for the carbs was out of sync and mainly needed to be cleaned and lube. It was causing problems with running mainly after idle and after going full open throttle and then slowing down it would stall and lose prime. Fixed the linkage and it runs like a top. Just might want to check that though the primer ball could be bad as well I replaced that every season in Florida heat.
