First post. Grew up in Florida, Fished a bit with my grandfather as a kid but never anything serious. In the last few years I've become an avid fisherman. It started in 2009 when I got stationed on Fort Lee in VA and there wasn't much else to do but enjoy the outdoors. On the James River going after giant catfish I got "hooked" you might say. Now that I'm out of the Military and back home I'm taking full advantage of the amazing inshore fishing available in my home town of Sarasota.

Now to the real point of this post. I have been doing primarily grouper fishing with a friend of mine in the bay. I am using a... antique shakespeare medium-heavy rod with an.... antique spinning reel, and some 80lbs braided. My question is this, I'm getting snapped off A LOT. Should I try a leader, and what kind? Different line? I use improved clinch knots, and I've never had a problem with them before. Anyway all advice will be appreciated
