The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission FWC advises anglers that the harvest season for snook reopened on Feb. 1 only in Florida’s Atlantic coastal and inland waters, including Lake Okeechobee and the Kissimmee River.

There has been some confusion, but the FWC is notifying anglers that the harvest of snook remains closed in all of Florida’s Gulf of Mexico, Everglades National Park and Monroe County coastal and inland waters until March 1.

Anglers may keep one snook between 28-32 inches total length per day in the allowable harvest areas only.
