Hello everybody!

I really hope someone can help me with this.

I know nothing about fishing or Florida, but I'm planning a trip as a gift for my boyfriend who is turning 30 years this summer!

He loves to fish, but are only just to "normal" fishing in Norway(North-Europe), where we live (small fishes). He would love to be on a boat in Florida and fish. I think swordfish/marlin (is this the same fish?) or tarpoon would be the best. Other fishes that could be interessting is tuna and bonefish.

So, where in Florida should we go to do this? When is the best season? I would like the mid-the end of august, is this good?
Do you know any websites for boats that we could do this with?
Is it enough with one day?
Does he need any experince?
Is there someting that we should not do?
Is it dangerous?

Since this is all a suprise I cant tell/ask him anything.

Also, I was thinking we are going to be in Florida for a week or so, and maybe fish 1-3 days. And tips for what else we should do? We like nature and relaxing, not shopping or amusmentpark or tourist attraction. Would also love tips to hotels/cityparts to live wich are cosy and nice.

Pick the species based on when you are visiting Florida. Fish for what is in season. I would do a day or two offshore and a day or two inshore. Islamorada is a great destination and provides a wide variety of fishing opportunities.
